Let’s see what the New Jerome Biblical Commentary (1993) has to say…with the Greek ταυτα, Luke holds the rather complex paragraph together. ‘The antecedent of tauta changes from the destruction of the Temple to the destruction of Jerusalem and then of the whole world’.
