Regula Benedicti: good works 2 (chapter IV)
The Latin:
6. non concupiscere,
7. non falsum testimonium dicere,
8. honorare omnes homines,
9. et quod sibi quis fieri non vult, alio ne faciat.
10. Abnegare semetipsum sibi ut sequatur Christum.
The English:
6. Not to covet.
7. Not to bear false witness.
8. To honor all men.
9. And what one would not have done to himself, not to do to another.
10. To deny one’s self in order to follow Christ.
